It is always needed to go deeper into the affairs of life. Reality is, for humans, limitless.
There is only one source, in this world, for truth: God’s revealed Word. This Word comes in varying forms. There is only one form in the senses realm which is consistently available to all and for all: God’s written Word, the Bible. This document is in the senses realm, yet it provides spiritual life.
This Word has been available to mankind for thousands of years, yet is so dynamically and totally alive that its depths have yet to be plumbed.
Many capable teachers throughout the years have made parts of this Word accessible and knowledgeable. God’s Word must be approached as a whole: any part must fit perfectly with all others, and the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. This is the test which may be applied.
Yet how do we know what is the whole? We need someone, or some ones, to introduce us to the Bible as the Word of God, showing us the keys to its interpretation. We can then begin to utilize these keys to apply God’s Word in our daily living, putting God to the test and reaping His rewards, including understanding from His mouth.
As a student perseveres, he may surpass his teachers. Psalm 119:99,100: “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.” Knowledge and ability are secondary to love and desire.
We will never outrun the Teacher, Christ, and never ever The Teacher, God Over All. Nor will we ever be able to truly fulfill what is expected of us until the Reformation of all things. But we can try.
We must make the effort, despite failure, to allow the fulness of God’s Word to live. As a contribution, these studies are presented in an effort to go deeper, richer, fuller and more completely into God’s living Word, bringing up and out vital nourishment for all.
